What Is Feminine Form Ayurveda?

Ayurveda (ai·yr·vay·duh) teaches us how to live in harmony with natural rhythms—caring for our digestion, sleep, mental clarity, and energy in ways that build us up rather than wear us down.

The term “Feminine Form Ayurveda” represents an approach to health that differs significantly from Western "traditional medicine," and even from how Ayurveda has been practiced in India over recent centuries due to Westernization and the separation of spirit and medicine.

What saved the old wisdom? Women. Across cultures, women were the healers, the keepers of knowledge passed mother to daughter, grandmother to granddaughter.

But as medicine became institutionalized, women were locked out—barred from universities, from science, from the very practices they'd stewarded for generations. In the West, these healing women were silenced.

We owe so much to the women who held onto these practices when everything else was being taken away. They kept the thread unbroken.

And now, when we reclaim these ways of healing, we're honoring not just ancient medicine—we're honoring the women who refused to let it be forgotten.

What began as my desperate search for answers became my life's work.

Throughout my life I struggled with symptoms of autoimmune, cystic acne, cystic ovaries, chronic inflammation, body pain, and digestive issues. After exhausting multiple doctors and specialists to no relief, I decided to take a different path.

I learned to heal the relationship with my body so that my body could begin to heal itself.

Because a large part of my healing came from sacred self-care practices, this prompted me to study, get certifications, travel and learn all about the nervous system, women's health, tantra-yoga, breath-work, nutrition and Ayurveda.

I've now had the honor of guiding countless women back to vibrant health, even after struggling with chronic, unresolved issues for years.

In This 12-Week 1:1 Program

  • We'll start by getting to know YOU - your unique blueprint and where you are right now. Prakruti is your original nature, the constitution you were born with that's totally yours and never changes. Vikruti is where you are today - how life, stress, diet, and the seasons have shifted you away from that natural balance. Think of Prakruti as your home base and Vikruti as showing us how far you've wandered from it. These sessions give us the roadmap for everything we'll personalize just for you throughout the program.

  • This week is all about your Agni - your digestive fire. Agni isn't just about breaking down your lunch; it's about how you process everything - food, emotions, experiences, all of it. When your agni is strong, you feel energized, clear-headed, and vibrant. When it's weak or wonky, that's when the bloating, brain fog, and blah feelings show up. We'll talk about simple shifts in how and when you eat that can completely transform how you feel. You'll learn to read your body's signals and work with your unique digestive rhythm instead of against it.

  • This week you'll learn how to figure out where toxins are actually coming from in your life and how they're showing up in your body. We're not just talking about physical stuff - we're looking at energetic and emotional toxins too, because it all affects how you feel. You'll discover simple daily practices that help your body naturally clear out what's weighing you down, plus easy swaps you can make in your home and personal care routine. The result? You'll feel lighter, have more energy, experience more balanced hormones, and notice your emotions start to even out.

  • Now we get to talk about Ojas - the good stuff! Ojas is basically the opposite of ama. It's that glowing, vibrant essence that makes you feel strong, resilient, radiant, and content. Think of it as your life force nectar - it's what gives you immunity, luster, and that magnetic quality when you're feeling really good. We'll explore which foods build ojas (hello, dates and ghee!), which lifestyle habits create it (like quality sleep and loving relationships), and what depletes it so you can protect this precious resource. This is where you start to really glow from the inside out.

  • This week you'll learn simple daily self-care rituals called Dinacharya - practices like oil massage, tongue scraping, and nasal care. When you do these consistently, your nervous system calms, your hormones balance, and your digestion improves because your body feels safe and cared for. But the deeper magic is this: these practices communicate to every cell in your body that you matter, that you're worthy of being nourished in a sacred way. This daily devotion to yourself shifts everything, and your body responds by coming back into balance.

  • This week is all about honoring your feminine body. Yoni means "womb" or "sacred space" - and yes, it's literally talking about your vagina and uterus, but it carries this beautiful reverence for your creative power and the divine feminine within you. Yoni steaming is an ancient practice where you sit over herbal steam to support menstrual health, fertility, postpartum healing, and overall feminine vitality. I'll show you how to do it safely, which herbs to use, when NOT to do it, and how to make it a ritual that feels really nurturing and special.

  • Let's talk about what's happening in your mind and nervous system. The three Gunas are the qualities that run everything in nature, especially your mental state. Sattva is when you feel clear, peaceful, and balanced. Rajas is when you're all revved up, busy, and maybe a bit scattered. Tamas is when you feel stuck, foggy, or just can't get moving. You'll take a quiz to see which guna is running the show for you right now, and you'll learn simple practices to bring yourself back into balance. We'll also start working with your nervous system - gentle techniques to help you feel more grounded and less anxious.

  • Your kitchen is about to become your pharmacy! This week you'll learn about key Ayurvedic spices and how to use them therapeutically. We're talking herbs and spices for inflammation, digestion, or cooling - all things probably already in your pantry.

    You'll understand how the six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, astringent) affect your body and mood, and how to use everyday ingredients to feel better. No complicated supplements needed - just smart use of what's already available to you.

  • Nature is always changing, and guess what? You need to change with it. This is called Ritucharya - eating and living according to the seasons. You'll get food lists and recipes for winter, spring, summer, and fall so you know what to eat when. Like eating warming, heavier foods in winter when it's cold and dry, or lighter, cooling foods in summer when it's hot. When you eat with the seasons, everything just works better - your digestion, your energy, your mood. We'll focus on where you are right now seasonally, but you'll have the tools for the whole year.

  • Time to hit the reset button! You'll learn a gentle spring cleanse that clears out accumulated ama and reboots your agni. This isn't some harsh detox where you're starving and miserable - it's a thoughtful, nourishing way to give your body a break and let it do what it does best: heal and renew. Spring is the perfect time for this because as the weather warms up, all that heavy winter accumulation starts to melt and loosen naturally. But you can use these practices any time you need a seasonal reset.

  • In our final week, we bring it all together. You'll learn to work with Prana - your life force energy. Through simple meditations you'll start to actually feel and direct the subtle energy. We'll also introduce some foundational Ayurvedic herbs so you have a complete toolkit. By now, you'll have everything you need to keep supporting yourself long after our 12 weeks together.

    Throughout the Program: The nervous system work and meditation practices build gradually from weeks 8-12, giving you time to really embody each piece. We're moving intentionally from the physical (your digestion and detox) into the energetic and spiritual, so by the end you're not just healthier - you're more whole.

  • This 75 minute initial session is if you would like to receive a comprehensive intake and Dosha (body type) evaluation. You will get to know the qualities of your main Dosha and what practices, foods and lifestyle are beneficial for you.
